Our Process

At Signature Kitchen Builders we manufacture all of our cabinets in Calgary. Each step of our process is carefully executed so we can continuously provide products built with the utmost quality and workmanship. Each of our cabinets undergoes a series of steps to ensure that you receive exactly what you expect with the durability and strength that we proudly commit to delivering.

The Process

The materials enter the factory and are now ready to be turned into cabinets
The first stop in the cabinet making process is a visit to the Beam Saw. The Beam Saw will cut out multiple sheets of wood at the same time to ensure your cabinet is built to your desired specifications.
The second stop in the cabinet making process is at the Edgebander. The Edgebander applies a finished edge to the cuts to seal any raw edges.
After visiting the Edgebander the next stop in the process is a stop at the Sliding Table Saw. This stop is mainly for smaller jobs.
Once all of the cuts are made it is time to visit the Drawer Assembly Line. This is where we make sure that all of our cuts fit together according to your specifications.
Now that the drawers are built, it is time to work on the cabinets. The next stop in our process is at the Multi Boring Machine. This machine creates holes inside of your cabinetry which allow you to adjust your shelf height.
The next few stages are to give your cabinetry a finish, polish and final touch up. The first stop in the Finishing Department is the sanding area. Every surface of your cabinet is sanded down so it is smooth to the touch.
The next step in the Finishing Department is the spraying area. This stop is where your cabinet receives its colour and shine.
The last step in the Finishing Department is a visit to the drying room. This is a sealed off area that allows your cabinetry to dry without any distractions that may cause imperfections in the stain.
Now that your cabinetry has been cut and finished, it is now time to put it all together in the Assembly Department. We make sure everything fits together before we send it out.
